Gourmet Espionnage is based in Annecy, the beautiful capital city of the Haute Savoie region of France. Dating back to the 10th century, Annecy is located at the North end of its stunning lake surrounded by dominating mountains. Annecy is easily accessed from Paris (560km) and Lyon (135km) and is just 35km from the gateway city of Geneva. Its proximity to numerous alpine resorts makes it a popular base for winter and summer sports enthusiasts.

Gourmet Espionnage has been arranging bespoke gastronomic adventures since 2000. Recognising the plethora of artisan producers in the region, Gourmet Espionnage creates individually tailored programmes for individuals or groups throughout the year.

Pâtisserie course or Chocolate course (half day)

Taking place in the picturesque village of Sallanches, just 72km from Annecy, this half day will introduce you to the skills and expertise required to be a top Pâtissier or Chocolatier. Our resident expert trained at the 4* luxury 2* guide michelin Père Bise Auberge in Talloires and worked as Chef Pâtissier in 2 top London Hotels, the 5*Landemark Palace Hotel and the 2* guide michelin The Square in Mayfair.
Following an introduction you will get your hands dirty creating your own masterpiece which is yours to take away. Light refreshments are included in the cost.

Organic food and wine tasting

Join expert vintner and chef, Christophe Grellier, in his family-run country hotel whose wine list is created from continuous discoveries of passionate and skilful winemakers across France. Learn the wine making process and the different challenges of making wines in the mountains. Each wine will be accompanied by a local or homemade delicacy designed to bring out the characteristics of that particular blend. Finish the morning with a gastronomic four-course lunch accompanied by more sumptuous wines.

Visit of a private, organic mushroom grower

Visit a private, organic mushroom grower who has put old slate mines to creative use. Following a tasting of shitakis, you will share a gourmet picnic with cooked, organic mushroom tastings and other delicious regional produce accompanied by quality wines.

Discover the history of the local Reblochon

Discover the history of the local Reblochon cheese on a visit to a local farm. See how it is made from cow’s milk and aged for its unique flavor and learn the many ways it can be enjoyed both alone and in cooking. A picnic lunch afterwards will allow you to enjoy the Reblochon along with other regional delicacies and local, quality wines.
